PSALM 84 THE LORD GOD IS A SUN AND SHIELD
9 Behold our shield, O God;
look on the face of your anointed!
10 For a day in your courts is better
than a thousand elsewhere.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield;
the LORD bestows favor and honor.
No good thing does he withhold
from those who walk uprightly.
12 O LORD of hosts,
blessed is the one who trusts in you! – Psalm 84:9-12

NO GOOD THING IS WITHHELD FROM THE UPRIGHT by ILMA
Look at all your people, Lord, we have come to be with you
We want to praise you and dwell on your goodness and truth
There is nothing else in this world that will satisfy me
Only you are the source of all good things and all my needs.
I long to be in your presence and it is all I live for
You are my sun and shield, ensuring light and protection
I can’t wait to be in your sanctuary and be in your arms
I am grateful that you have granted me favor and grace.
There are no good things that you withhold from the upright
I am so honored that you have chosen me to be shining your light
O my Lord, you give blessings to all who trust in your mighty name
I am thrilled that you, the Lord of Hosts, the Almighty, always cares.
You are faithful and just to forgive us from all our transgressions
Your promises are all that I hope for, all that shields me from temptations
I am humbled by your steadfast love and reminded how faithful you are
Help me to continue to press on forward to come closer to your special place.
