PSALM 139
7 Where shall I go from your Spirit?
Or where shall I flee from your presence?
8 If I ascend to heaven, you are there!
If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!
9 If I take the wings of the morning
and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
10 even there your hand shall lead me,
and your right hand shall hold me.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me,
and the light about me be night,”
12 even the darkness is not dark to you;
the night is bright as the day,
for darkness is as light with you.
– Psalm 139:7-12

PSALM 139 NOWHERE TO HIDE FROM GOD
A poem inspired by this psalm by ILMA
Do you find yourself hiding or running from someone or something?
Have you kept yourself busy so that you can avoid intimacy with Him?
You can go on with your denial of God’s presence, but his love persists
There’s nowhere to hide from God; if you were chosen by him, you are his.
Even if you are going through dark valleys and deserts in your life
He will still be there to sustain you and bring you his light
When Satan deceives you to continually sin, he is faithful to forgive
Confess your sins and don’t engage in his accusations and shaming.
Where can you go that God doesn’t already know?
Even in the deepest darkest secret that you hide, he sees you
If you think you can continue to resist your calling and purpose
It is futility, for He will have his way with his faithful saints.
