Our bodies are buried in brokenness, but they will be raised in glory. They are buried in weakness but they will be raised in strength. -1 Corinthians 15:43(NLT)
BURIED BUT WILL BE RAISED
A poem and essay by ILMA
Christ died for us on the cross so we can be freed
He promised redemption to all those who will believe
When died, was buried and resurrected after three days
His followers will also receive the same glory in many ways.
Though our bodies are buried in brokenness
He will heal us and strengthen us in our weaknesses
He delivered us from death and gave us new life
Expect his promise of eternity and stay in his light.

Many people do not realize that for as long as we live in this world, we will suffer and be hurt and broken. Unbelievers choose not to believe because they couldn’t understand why God allows us to experience such pain and hardship. Many verses in the bible explains that suffering is inevitable in this world. God allows all these troubles to happen so he can exercise his power over it. The bible says in 2 Corinthians 12:10 “That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” Though we are buried in brokenness, Christ will raise us and give us strength.

PRAYER
Lord, let me remember your resurrection each time I become weak.
REFLECTION
Why is hopelessness something that a believer must surrender to the Lord?
