DON’T ARGUE ABOUT WHAT’S RIGHT OR WRONG Posted on December 23, 2018 by ilmaarts December 23________________________________________ Accept other believers who are weak in faith, and don’t argue with them about what they think is right or wrong. – Romans 14:1 (NLT) DON’T ARGUE ABOUT WHAT’S RIGHT OR WRONG A poem and essay by ILMA A true believer understands those who are weaker in faith They lead an example that can witness and change their fate Christians must never engage in arguing what they think is right They let the word of God lead others to truth to reveal the lies. Arguing is impeding with the works of the Holy Spirit Leading them to Scriptures will let them see it Engaging in proving that you’re right is carnal and futile It only fuels the enemy to make you more volatile. ________________________________________ When I was an English teacher in high school level, I taught English Conversation Fluency and Logic. The foundations of Logic gave the students a foundation to be good in Debate and Public Speaking in their senior year. I started the groundwork so that they will be good debaters and speakers and have the skill to persuade others with application of Logic. I literally taught them how to prove some ideas persuasively even though they were not all true. After all, this was how Philosophy and Logic worked. When I became a born again Christian, Scriptures revealed to me that we shouldn’t engage in human reasoning. Arguing is a form of reasoning. Jesus never argued with anyone. He spoke the truth instead. ________________________________________ PRAYER Lord, show me whenever I have a tendency to engage in reasoning and defending myself. REFLECTION Why is arguing a futile activity? For more testimonials about God’s word, please go to YouTube and type ILMA’s poem devotional or go to www.ilmaarts.com posts.
