PSALM 68 THE LORD WILL STRIKE THE ENEMIES’ HEADS
21 But God will strike the heads of his enemies,
the hairy crown of him who walks in his guilty ways.
22 The Lord said, “I will bring them back from Bashan,
I will bring them back from the depths of the sea,
23 that you may strike your feet in their blood,
that the tongues of your dogs may have their portion from the foe.”
24 Your procession is seen, O God,
the procession of my God, my King, into the sanctuary—
25 the singers in front, the musicians last,
between them virgins playing tambourines:
26 “Bless God in the great congregation,
the LORD, O you who are of Israel’s fountain!”
27 There is Benjamin, the least of them, in the lead,
the princes of Judah in their throng,
the princes of Zebulun, the princes of Naphtali. – Psalm 68:21-27

A poem inspired by this psalm by ILMA
The Lord God is faithful; he is a promise keeper
He is steadfast in his love and he is full of mercy
But the Lord hates evil and everything that stands for it
He will never allow his people to be beaten up by them
The Lord will strike the enemies’ heads as he vowed
Do not be afraid of these wicked plots for you are with the Lord.
Blessed be God amongst the congregation of believers
Raise your voices to him, all of those who are his children
The Lord is your protector; the world will not triumph
God will defend you and ensure that you win over evil
Abide in him always and you will witness his promises fulfilled
He will never forsake all those who love him and stay faithful.
