A prudent person foresees danger and take precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences. – Proverbs 27:12(NLT)
ONE WHO CAN FORESEE
A poem and essay by ILMA
The wise person is able to foresee danger and be warned
They are tuned in to what they do and never hurry or run
They are observant and creative of their surroundings
They can tell if there is evil and wickedness lurking.
The Holy Spirit guides them and makes them wise
They listen to God’s spirit for guidance or advise
That is why they can foresee what will transpire
They hear God’s voice, they heed and they abide.

Have you ever been with someone who is so careless and reckless at the same time? I knew someone who just don’t care what they do or how it affects others. He is physically present yet his heart and mind is somewhere else. He says something and pretend he cares but deep inside, he has no concern for anything but to get what he wants or follow his routines. It is like watching a dead person walking and doing things. They have no life. They are physically alive but spiritually dead. They live life just for the sake of living. They don’t dream big, they live in a box and trapped there.
The bible says that the one who can foresee are the wise while fools just go through life recklessly.
PRAYER
Dear Lord, please give me wisdom to foresee danger.
REFLECTION
What do you do when the Holy Spirit warns you about something?

GREAT IS THE LORD! Poem Devotional
October 7________________________________________
Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! He is to be feared above all gods.
– Psalm 96:4(NLT)
GREAT IS THE LORD!
A poem and essay by ILMA
Do you remember to give praise to your Lord?
Do you declare his power and give him laud?
Great is the Lord, he is most worthy of praise
Make sure you follow his word and do what it says.
He is the god who created all seen and unseen things
Fear and obey him who has given you everything
He is all-knowing, all-seeing and very powerful
He loves you so much and he is so merciful.

I grew up without idolizing anyone. Unlike my cousins who went crazy over some singers or superstars, I never went gaga over someone famous or rich or popular. The only thing that gets my attention is if it will make me think and search for answers. I was obsessed with knowledge and understanding, so I always hang out with people who are intelligent and curious and pro-active.
The bible tells us how great our God is. He is the only one worthy of praise and he is to be feared above all gods. The trouble with our world today is that it is bombarded with so much things to idolize. It consumes most of our lives as we get obsessed with this thing we clamor much. Let’s give up trivial matters and give God praise.
PRAYER
Lord, I praise and glorify you.
REFLECTION
What are the benefits of worshiping and praising God?

A SLAVE OF CHRIST Poem devotional
April 18

And remember, if you were a slave when the Lord called you, you are now free in the Lord. And if you were free when the Lord called you; you are now a slave of Christ.
-1 Corinthians 7:22 (NLT)
A SLAVE OF CHRIST
A poem and essay by ILMA
Would you consider yourself free indeed?
Is there anything or anyone that bonds you to sin?
Do you remember when Jesus called you?
He wants you to be born again and renewed.
Is there is anything that keeps you out of the light?
Let the Son of God be the only master in your life
Be honored that you are a slave of Christ
It will transform you and will bring insight.

There are many people living in bondage. Some of them don’t even know they are enslaved. What does a modern day slave look like? It may have been many decades ago when slavery was very real in our world. What people do not realize is that slavery still exists. It may not be very visible, but may be very subtly manifested. Any kind of addiction such as alcohol, smoking, sex, workaholic, gambling, love of money or idolizing something or someone is surely a form of slavery. The bible says that when you are born again, you are now a slave of Christ who is all loving and all forgiving. You are free from slavery to sin.
PRAYER
Lord, show me how to be a dedicated servant of yours.
REFLECTION
What form of bondage are you still enslaved to?
