MULTIPLICATION OF THE BREAD
A poem by ILMA
Jesus crossed over to the far side of the Sea of Galilee
This sea It is also known as the Sea of Tiberias
A huge crowd kept following him wherever he went
Because they saw his miraculous signs as he healed the sick.
Then Jesus climbed a hill and sat down with his disciples around him
Jesus soon saw a huge crowd of people coming to look for him
Turning to Philip, he asked, “Where can we buy bread to feed all these people?”
He was testing Philip, for he already knew what he was going to do.
Philip said, “We can’t afford to feed them even if we work for months”
Then Andrew spoke that there’s a young boy with five barley loaves
Then he asked Jesus, “what good is that with this huge crowd?”
“Tell everyone to sit down,” Jesus said, so they all sat down.stia
The men alone numbered about 5,000 Then Jesus took the loaves
He gave thanks to God, and distributed them to the people
Afterward, he did the same with the fish. And they all ate as much as they wanted
Then Jesus said, “Now gather the leftovers, so that nothing is wasted.”

MEMORY VERSE
Then Jesus took the loaves, gave thanks to God, and distributed them to the people. Afterward he did the same with the fish. And they all ate as much as they wanted.
– John 6:11
Read: John 6:1-14
This miracle of Jesus was based on what a little boy had to contribute. He was open enough to volunteer his five loaves of barley to the disciple and this is probably what the Lord wants us to do. When we give whatever little we have to the Lord, he can always multiply it.

REFLECTION
• Why is it that some people do not see miracles even if it’s right in front of them?
