He has commissioned us and he has identified us as his own by placing the Holy Spirit in our hearts as the first installment that guarantees everything he has promised us. – 2 Corinthians 1:21-22(NLT)
GOD’S ASSURANCE

Have you experienced the holy presence of God?
He is in your heart as you accept him and give laud
His first installment of his promises is to place the Holy Spirit
He has put him there so you won’t be lost or drift.
He guarantees you a life full of blessings and hope
He will grant you victory and not just cope
Listen carefully to his Spirit inside you
He will ensure that your mind is renewed.
When you are in a relationship, what do you expect most from these people you relate with? Commitment and trust play highest in rank when it comes to relationship needs and expectations. When trust and commitment issues are breached, many relationships fail and fall out.
The bible tells us that God is a very assuring God. He guarantees everything he promises. He anoints us with his own Spirit by placing his own Spirit inside our hearts. What an awesome thing the cross did for all of us. It has allowed Jesus to be inside all believers and live in their hearts.
PRAYER
Help me not to grieve your Spirit, Lord.

JESUS FEVER

When the Holy Spirit comes upon you
You will long for Jesus and your minds will be renewed
You won’t stop talking about Christ to others
You’ll shine like a light to your sisters and brothers.
Your lips will only talk about God’s truth and power
You will know what to say to the enemy so it will cower
You will witness to all the good things he has done
You will forget your selfish nature and focus on the Son.
Have you ever experienced getting a fever? Intense nervous excitement is one
definition of the word “fever.” The bible says that when the Holy Spirit comes into your life, you will be experiencing Jesus Fever. The Holy Spirit will come upon you and you will witness to the power of God, telling everyone about the Good News.
I remember one time when the Spirit kept on prodding me to give testimonies to what God has done in my life. I couldn’t stop talking about Jesus. I was a teacher of Oral Communications, but somehow everything that came out of my mouth was about the miracles that God has done in my life.
PRAYER
Lord, thank you for your Spirit.

He is sent by God. He speaks God’s words, for God gives him the spirit without limit. – John 3:34 (NLT)
SPIRIT WITHOUT LIMIT
A poem and essay by ILMA
When Jesus was with us, he spoke only of God’s word
That is how Christ won and conquered the world
He was sent by God to save mankind from sin
He sacrificed his one and only Son for us to be redeemed.
God grants us his spirit without limit if we allow it
If we cooperate with Him, we will enjoy all his gifts
As we speak God’s word, we allow the Spirit to thrive
The hungrier we are for his word, the more we will enjoy life.
Have you ever experienced an encounter with God’s spirit? I used to have a very soft voice at once point in my life. I was supposed to sing for a mass and didn’t have to use a microphone. I had to fill the church with my voice. I prayed that I will be filled by the Holy Spirit and be used to let the congregation hear my voice.
To my amazement and to others who knew me, my voice filled the church.
The bible says that when we speak of God’s word, God will give us the spirit without limit. The spirit will use us to glorify God.
PRAYER
Lord, help me to welcome your spirit always.

When we tell you these things, we do not use words that come from human wisdom. Instead, we speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spirit’s words to explain spiritual things. -1 Corinthians 2:13 (NLT)
CHANNELS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Christians who develop a relationship with Jesus Christ
They are used to fulfill the promises and are given insights
They become channels of his Spirit for his kingdom’s benefit
The people of God turn into temples of the Holy Spirit.
When someone is filled with the spirit of the Lord
They allow themselves to be used to give him laud
They use the Spirit’s words to explain spiritual things
They agree to be an instrument to bring life and victory.
Agreement is a very important aspect of success and victory. That is why a lot of businesses thrive when they come in agreement with the right partners or clientele. When people become believers, they are expected to be in agreement with his Spirit and to be an active participant in the body of Christ which is comprised of all believers.
Paul explains to the Corinthians that when he teaches spiritual things to them about God’s kingdom, it is not his own words that come from his mouth, but he becomes a mouthpiece of the Holy Spirit.
PRAYER
Lord, thank you for putting words in my mouth.

EMBRACING THE SPIRIT OF GOD

Are you inclined to help others or satisfy yourself?
Are you bold to proclaim God’s word or do you play safe?
The people of God listens and hears God’s spirit
They follow his commands and faithfully live it.
It is the Spirit that tells us when we do wrong
He makes us recognize sin and not stay there long
God has freely given us many wonderful promises
We must allow the spirit to live in us so we won’t miss it.
Some Christians do not recognize the spirit of God living in them. If you have God’s spirit, you will get revelations from God. Derek Prince, a Christian preacher says that a believer hears God’s voice. The bible says that the people of God recognize his voice. How do they know his voice? It is God’s spirit dwelling in their hearts that helps them identify God’s voice. So, if God’s spirit lives in your heart, you will know it. The moment we believe in God and Jesus, the spirit of God lives in our hearts. Are you able to distinguish if it is God’s spirit in you?
PRAYER
Lord, live in me.

When the spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future. He will bring me glory by telling you whatever he receives from me. – John 16:13(NLT)
THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH

There are many kinds of spirit in our midst
God will show you which ones are counterfeits
When his Spirit comes, he will reveal
You will know the truth and you’ll be free.
The Spirit of truth does not speak on his own
He will tell you what he heard from the Son
He will ensure that the Father gets all the praise and glory
When he dwells in you, you will have life and gain victory.
Have you ever experienced moments when you suddenly know something which you never knew before? Have you battled with a decision for a while and then unexpectedly, something just told you to do something you’d never normally do?
These are some ways that the Spirit of God tells us to do the right thing. When the spirit of truth comes, you will know it because it will always work for your best. Be careful not to boast that it is from you because the he himself points to the only source, God.
PRAYER
Lord, I welcome your spirit.
