If someone among you wanders away from the truth and is brought back, you can be sure that whoever brings the sinner back from wandering will save that person from death and bring about the forgiveness of many sins. -James 5:19-20(NLT)
WHEN YOU BRING BACK WANDERERS
A poem and essay by ILMA
If someone was wandering away from truth and is brought back
That person who led them from straying follows the straight path
When you help bring back to God his children, he is faithful
He will bless you with an overflow and your life will be bountiful.
All God’s people are called to shepherd God’s flock
He expects them all to help the lost to be brought back
When you bring back wanderers close to the truth
They are actually sowing seeds and will reap God’s fruits.________________________________________
Our lives here on earth is like a journey. We are not destined to stay in this world, but we are passing through this stopover so we can experience God’s mercy and grace. Sometimes in our journey, we get sidetracked or lost. In a real travel experience, when we get lost, we either find our way back through a compass, a map or a direction from someone who knows the way. These tourist guides have had many years of experience and are equipped to get you back on track. When you bring back a lost soul to Jesus, you save them from death.

PRAYER
Lord, use me to re-direct those who are lost.
REFLECTION
How can you become a guide those whose souls are wandering?

Father forgive them for they don’t know what they are doing. Luke 23:34(NLT)
PLEA FOR THE LOST
A poem and essay by ILMA
Lord, I ask you to forgive those who do not know you
They have no idea; they believe lies instead of truth
They are in bondage to strongholds, sin and curses
Father, have mercy on them and grant them forgiveness.
I cry out for the lost, those who roam around in confusion
Help those who live in bitterness, anger and those in isolation
Give them your unfailing love because they need you so
Soften their hardened hearts so they can know you more.

It is easy to just tell someone who is so mean to “Get Lost.” Why bother with those who are hard to get along with? But the bible tells us to love our enemies and do good to them and pray for them in the book of Matthew he tells us to be kind and tender-hearted to one another, forgiving each other just as God through Christ has forgiven us (Ephesians 4:32). The bible also talks about how close Jesus is to the broken hearted and the crushed in spirit in Psalm 34:18. It is easy to get along with those who are loving and kind, but we are called to get along with everyone, even those who are difficult to love. He challenges us to live with the difficult and forgive them.
PRAYER
Lord, give me strength to separate people from their sins.
REFLECTION
Why is it important to forgive others and pray for them?

FOR THE LOST Poem Devotional

For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost. –Luke 19:10(NLT)
FOR THE LOST
A poem and essay by ILMA
Are you confused, bewildered or perplexed?
Do you keep on running and find it hard to rest?
Rejoice! The Son of Man came to save the lost
This is the reason why Jesus died on the cross.
Do not be afraid to admit that you are weak
It is in your weakness that he convicts and speaks
Christ died to save us from sin; no need for denial
He wants us to run to him in our suffering and trials.

How often do people admit that they are lost or confused? The world dictates that we hide our weaknesses and confusion. In God’s economy, we are encouraged to acknowledge or admit it. It is called humility to be able to recognize both one’s weakness or strength and use the knowledge to encourage or lead others to God. The enemy on the other hand wants to ensure that we deny it and keep on living in the lies so that there is more mix-up. It is a wide open door for the enemy to thrive when we are very proud to admit that we are vulnerable, weak and confused. The bible says that the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost and no need to deny it.
PRAYER
Lord, help me to remember that you came for the lost.
REFLECTION
Share an instance when God was present in your confusion and agony.

AVOID BEING LOST Poem Devotional

canadablooms 032 (2)April 5
If you plan to do evil, you will be lost; if you plan to do good, you will receive unfailing love and faithfulness. –Proverbs 15:22(NLT)
AVOID BEING LOST
A poem and essay by ILMA
Does your life’s purpose align with God’s will?
Do you allow the enemy to steal or kill?
If you do good, you carry the cross.
If you do evil, you will be lost.
Whenever you obey God’s commands
Life becomes clear despite all its demands
Whenever you follow your selfish nature
You become confused and remain immature.
Have you ever been so confused and lost? I have been in that road of confusion and lawlessness many years of my life. Because I didn’t consult God’s word during those dark years, I became a slave of my own desires and weaknesses. It was also in these years of turmoil that I heard a voice inside me that was inviting me back to come back and restore my relationship with the Lord. I chose to respond to the invitation with open arms. I repented of all my sins and embraced Jesus in my life.
The bible tells us that if you plan to do evil, you will be lost; if you plan to do good, you will receive unfailing love and faithfulness. As soon as I gave up sin and chose Christ, my life became peaceful and full of light. No more confusion.
PRAYER
Lord, free me from my sinful nature.
REFLECTION
Why do we need to feed on God’s word daily?
