THE PROMISE OF PEACE & PROSPERITY Poem Devotional

September 9________________________________________
The Lord will mediate between peoples and will settle disputes between strong nations far away. Everyone will live in peace and prosperity. – Micah 4:3,4(NLT)
THE PROMISE OF PEACE & PROSPERITY
A poem and essay by ILMA
To those who abide in the Lord Jesus Christ
They are promised a mediator who will settle fights
No longer will there be war, chaos and confusion
He will mediate between peoples and settle the misperception.
The Lord is the peacemaker and he will grant you calm
Run to him so you can experience his mediation and love
He promises peace and prosperity to those who follow him
Why would you compromise the peace and with constant sin?

I lived many years of my life without peace. It was a life full of chaos and confusion. Because I didn’t live for the Lord, I didn’t know his promises to those who love him. I was living in the world and it was ignorant to live that way especially since I have committed my life to Jesus since I was seven years old. When someone decides to turn to him, he will mediate between peoples and nations and make that person experience peace. It took me almost five decades to hear God’s conviction about how I have lived my life those many years. When I decided to obey the Lord, I began experiencing peace and calm. Blessings came pouring down on me.

PRAYER
Lord, help me pursue peace constantly.
REFLECTION
How can we constantly pursue peace?

canadablooms 143 (2)January 30________________________________________
There will be joy and songs of thanksgiving, and I will multiply my people, not diminish them; I will honor them, not despise them. Their children will prosper as they did long ago. I will establish them as a nation before me, and I will punish anyone who hurts them.
– Jeremiah 30:19-20(NLT)
PROSPERITY & PROTECTION
A poem and essay by ILMA
To those who believe in the Lord, there will be rejoicing
They will continue to grow their faith and give thanksgiving
The Lord will multiply his people and prosper them in life
Their children will partake of God’s promises and his light.
God will establish believers and ensure their protection
He loves his children and provides for all their provision
Do not fear for the Lord always blesses his people
He will never forsake those who are always faithful.

The Lord has poured out so many blessings on all of his people. He fulfills his promises to all of his followers. One of the many things that he promised was prosperity, honor and protection. Some Christians do not even realize all these blessings because they are so focused on material stuff. They miss out on being grateful for a good job, a good relationship, good health, provision for needs, and many more. They shift their focus on things that they do not have. The bible tells us of God’s promise of prosperity and protection.

PRAYER
Lord, thank you for all your promises and for fulfilling them.
REFLECTION
What blessings have you received that you need to thank God for?

March 24________________________________________
Does anyone want to live a life that is long and prosperous? Then keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies! -Psalm 34:12-13 (NLT)
KEY TO LONGEVITY & PROSPERITY
A poem and essay by ILMA
Does anyone want to live a long and prosperous life?
Make sure you feed on Scriptures and stay in God’s light
Meditate on his truth day and night and follow it
Only then will you reap the fruits of his Spirit.
Keep your tongue from telling lies and speaking evil
It is the best way you can do warfare with the devil
You have authority over the schemes of the enemy
Exercise it by declaring Jesus as your one and only.

There are many books, blogs, videos and seminars that talk about how you can live longer and be wealthy. We are bombarded today with social media explosions on wealth, power, and longevity. What does God say about all the world’s way of having long life and being prosperous?
The bible talks about a different kind of prosperity. In God’s economy, being wealthy doesn’t only mean you have all the comforts and luxuries in life to yourself. Everything comes from God and is given to us so we can be stewards of his kingdom. We cannot claim ownership on anything on earth. We need to be thankful and follow his ways, keeping ourselves from speaking evil and telling lies.
PRAYER
Lord, reveal to me each lie and evil thought that comes to mind.
REFLECTION
Why is it important to hold captive our thoughts and have it obey God?

A poem and essay by ILMA
Do you find it difficult to navigate through life?
Would you want to bring out darkness into light?
There is a Book of Instruction that brings prosperity
If you meditate on it day and night, you’ll have victory.
Be sure you don’t just read but obey and do what it says
Only then will you prosper and be blessed
This holy book God gave us is the key to his kingdom
It is also the key to peace, joy and freedom and wisdom.

I usually don’t read manuals. I’d rather look at a quick photo instruction or figure it out myself method of using a product. Without reading the guide, we can get in trouble with damaging the product or not maximizing its use. I have had a camcorder for three years before I actually discovered things I never knew it could do. Thus, I missed utilizing it to its full capacity during those years. Isn’t our life like those products we buy? Our manual for life is written in the bible. If we don’t read it, we are not maximizing the full potential of what God has in store for us.
PRAYER
Lord, allow me to have more time to ready and study your word.
REFLECTION
Why won’t people read what is good for them?

THE WAY TO PROSPERITY Poem Devotional

Sept 20th 103

October 22                                                                  The Power of God’s Word
Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. – Proverbs 3:9-10 (NLT)
THE WAY TO PROSPERITY
A poem and essay by ILMA
What do you have that the Lord has given?
Are you using it to proclaim Jesus who has risen?
Whether you are given a job, wealth, health, talents or wisdom
Honor the Lord with these blessings to experience freedom.
Give the best part of everything you produce to Him
In response, He will give you more than you ask or imagine
He will replace whatever you generously give to others
An overflow will follow as you honor God and care for one another.
There are lots of seminars and teachings about how to be wealthy. The world has dazzled many and conned people into thinking that there’s a special formula to get rich. Once they have achieved wealth and power, some realize that they still feel empty inside.
In God’s economy, prosperity is a promise granted to those who honor the Lord with their wealth and with the best part of everything they produce. He promised that he will fill you with an overflow if you give him your first and best produce. In return, God will give you an overflow of wealth.
PRAYER
Lord, remind me to generously honor you with what you gave me.
REFLECTION
What have you honored God with lately?
