PSALM 106
32 They angered him at the waters of Meribah,
and it went ill with Moses on their account,
33 for they made his spirit bitter,
and he spoke rashly with his lips.
34 They did not destroy the peoples,
as the LORD commanded them,
35 but they mixed with the nations
and learned to do as they did.
36 They served their idols,
which became a snare to them.
37 They sacrificed their sons
and their daughters to the demons;
38 they poured out innocent blood,
the blood of their sons and daughters,
whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan,
and the land was polluted with blood.
39 Thus they became unclean by their acts,
and played the whore in their deeds. – Psalm 106:32-39

PSALM 106 ON SERVING IDOLS AND YOKING WITH THE WICKED

Serve the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength
And your life will be blessed and you will resist the foe
Give up all distractions and idols that keep you from serving the Lord
The Lord wants undivided attention; he wants you to make him first
Keep yourself unstained by the world and its systems of wickedness
God wants you to be pure and holy, walking constantly in righteousness
Idols are traps that keep you away from worshiping the Lord
Satan wants to make sure that you serve him instead of the God that is true
Keep your lives holy and undefiled by the corruption and chaos around you
If you depend on God to keep you pure for him, he will be faithful to save your soul.
