You made all the delicate inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous. -Psalm 139:13-14(NLT)
MADE WONDERFULLY COMPLEX
A poem and essay by ILMA
What makes you the way you are?
God made your delicate inner parts
He knitted you in your mother’s womb
He created you to win and not be doomed.
He made you wonderfully complex
He designed you into his likeness
You may not feel worthy of all of these
He longs for you and want your heart seized.

Wouldn’t it be amazing to actually see how human beings came about? Today, technology gives us a peak into the unknown before. We can actually see the unborn baby in their mother’s womb using ultrasound. It makes the waiting worthwhile. It makes you leap for love.
The bible tells us that we were made wonderfully complex in Psalm 139. Can you imagine God being inside your mother’s womb? It sounds incomprehensible but this is what the word of God says. Just close your eyes and visualize that God shrunk himself into a size that would fit your mother’s womb. He breathed into you so all the other parts of your body will be complete and be ready soon to face the world.
PRAYER
Lord, thank you for making me wonderfully complex.
REFLECTION
How have you honored God with his magnificent masterpiece in you?
