Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces. – Psalm 34:5(NLT)
RADIANCE OF JOY
A poem and essay by ILMA
Are you living in shame and darkness?
Are you isolating yourself and living in loneliness?
Give it up, ask help and run to Jesus Christ
He will fill you up with joy and change your life.
Those who look to him for help will be glowing
There is no shadow of shame, only joy overflowing
They will shine like a dazzling light to others
They will radiate God’s joy and change one another.

Can you spot the difference between a believer and an unbeliever? For those who do not know the Lord, they wouldn’t know the difference. However, those who are Christians would be able to detect the difference. Authentic believers have a certain exuberance in their character. They have this positive and patient attitude that attracts other people to them. Kindness and gentleness radiate in their personalities. They don’t judge others and they are forgiving and understanding. They usually don’t point fingers at other’s mistakes or faults. They are very loving and peaceful people. They know how to rest and they don’t do things to please or get approval. They pursue Jesus through his word and obey his will. There is no trace of shame or darkness in their spirits; just sheer joy.
PRAYER
Lord, thank you for the light that you shine on me.
REFLECTION
Why do you think that asking God for help makes a Christian radiant with joy?

Make sure that the light you think you have is not actually darkness. If you are filled with light, with no dark corners, then your whole life will be radiant, as though a floodlight were filling you with light. -Luke 11:35-36 (NLT)
FLOODLIGHTS FILLING YOU
A poem and essay by ILMA
When you declared Christ as your Lord and Savior
You are filled with lights with no dark corners
Your whole life will be radiant like a floodlight
You will shine for all others to see your new life.
Ensure that the light you think you have is not darkness
The enemy cunningly deceives you and continually seduces
Stay in God’s loving kindness so you’ll manifest his goodness
Be filled with his floodlight so you can show his righteousness.

When I was a theater stage manager, I was responsible for all the aspects of the production. During rehearsals, I take down all notes of the director for stage movements, lighting, sounds, sets and props. During the actual performance, I call the shots and the director just watches how I execute what he wants done in the play. When floodlights are on, it is usually in scenes where there is fanfare or a climax in the play. When it is on, everyone sees every little detail of the actors’ part. Just like floodlights, all Christians need to shine radiantly so darkness can be totally covered with Christ’s radiance.
PRAYER
Lord, help me to shine so all darkness will be covered.

RADIANCE FROM A LIFE WITH CHRIST Poem Devotional

RADIANCE FROM A LIFE WITH CHRIST
A poem and essay by ILMA
Before you had Christ, your life was in darkness
As soon as you believed him, there is gladness
Make sure that the light you have is from his truth
It is the only guide that will bring you stability and root.
If you are filled with light with no dark corners
You will do things for Christ and never go back in your former
Your whole life will be radiant as though a floodlight fills you
It is only through Christ that you can be radiant through and through.
Have you ever been in a pitch dark room? A small glimpse of light matters when someone is in total darkness. When you are living in sin, you are in total darkness. You feel hopeless and helpless, but when you are in the love of God and following his ways, you shine and radiate like Christ.
The bible tells us to ensure that we have no dark corners in our lives so we can radiate as clear as a floodlight fills us with light.
PRAYER
Lord, fill me with your light.
REFLECTION
How has Christ illumined your life with his truth?
