THINK MORE OF OTHERS
A poem by ILMA
Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind
Regard one another as more important than yourselves
Do not merely look out for your own personal interests
Make sure that you look also after the interests of other people
Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Jesus Christ
Although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God.
He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death
For this reason, God highly exalted Him, gave him the name above every name.
Do all things joyfully and without grumbling or disputing
This way, you will prove to be blameless and innocent children of God
When you do this, in the day of Christ you will have reason to bring God glory
I urge you, rejoice in the same way and share your joy with me.

MEMORY VERSE
Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus. – Philippians 2:3-5
Read: Philippians 2:1-18
One of the marks of a true disciple is when one forgets the self and think highly of others more. Humility is another sign of a good Christian. Looking after other people’s interest is something that believers would do as well. All these attitudes show that they are Christlike.

REFLECTION
• How can a Christian develop humility?
• How can we empty ourselves of arrogance and think more about others?
